Since Amethyst is my birth stone, I figured it would be fitting, since I am the one doing this, to start there :) It is a beautiful crystal, and I keep several around me for both protection and it's calming influence. One sits on my desk, I carry one in my purse, and there is one in the bedroom. My pendulum also has a large piece of amethyst as it's 'center piece.'
